Which is the best wormer is debatable...
Drontal for dogs is probably the one that covers the best spectrum of worms, including tapeworms which a lot of wormers dont cover for. Comes in a tablet form once off dose. Puppies should be wormed every fortnight until 16 weeks of age and then every 8 weeks after that until 1 yr old.
Fenbendazole or trade name "Parazole" or "Panacur" would also be another good option. This comes in a liquid form which is good for puppies, just put a syringe into the corner of their mouth, has to be done for 3-4 consecutive days though (some people dont like this).

The Parazole is rubbish trust me, breeders & sellers use it as it's cheap to buy, a good vet will tell you the same it won't tackle anything like the Drontol will.

We got two pups in 08, both had been given Parazole up to 8 wks & the sellers assured is they hadn't worms, when they were brought to the vet the week we got them for check ups, the vet gave us the bottle of Parazole. They got their required worming but with they landed back to the vet with vomitting, lost of appetite & bowel infections a week or two later, the vet was not long at admitting the Parazole wasn't strong enough to kill the worms & basically sh** & therefore they had infestations inside them causing all the probs, one dose of drontal & they were worm free in less than 24hr! Tho cleaning the garden after it was not pleasant!:D

Drontal for puppies is also in liquid form. Dosing is per kg of weight so make sure that it's accurate.

Please stay away from cheap supermarket brands such as Bob Martins, not good and I've heard of alot of dogs having adverse reactions.
