Any signs of what the next high capacity (120gb+) Ipod will be like? I've the 160 Classic and wouldn't mind something fresh?

The way Apple have been going lately, we should count ourselves lucky if there are any HD models left at all when they next introduce new models. I wouldn't put it past them to introduce a 120gb Touch for €1000 and say no one needs more capacity than this, and discontinue all the HD models, even though they are 6.5 times cheaper than the flash players for the capacity.

Interested in seeing what happens too. Got an 80gb classic about a year ago and i'm wondering what its replacement will be like. My guess is that there will be a totally new ipod touch model in September and this will be the only ipod available higher up than the presumably new Nano. Otherwise, Apple will continue the classic more or lesser modified for another year along with the new touch and tell people thats its the last of the classic model. All i know is that there'll have to be at least one ipod model with more than say, 100gb of storage

is the classic not selling well? I got the 120gb over christmas and i think its a fantastic product. the sound is much improved too, sounds miles better than my brothers older 30gb classic.

AFAIK, the classics are the the best selling iPod model, but Apples collective brains are not working too well these days - new shuffle anyone - so I wouldn't put it past them to cease production.

Did you compre the sound of those iPods using the same tracks on each, using the same headphones? There really should not be any audible difference between iPod models.

I love the classic, but it could do with a faster menu system....... I need more than my current 160gb.

yep, lossless audio sounds noticeably clearer on the 120gb much to my brothers disgust!
