I have a bit of a conundrum and searching the forum hasn't cleared things up so I thought I'd ask oh ye so knowledgeable.

Will be going on a bit of a travel for an unknown period and have decided not to sell my rothar as I could be back soon enough, but I could be gone for quite a while and was wondering how to store my bike?

Take it completely apart and lightly oil? Excessive?

I would think that would be excessive, yes. As long as it is being stored indoors I don't think you should have to do anything in particular. I would clean it and oil the chain as normal. Other than that, I have bikes I have not been on in six months and they are as good as when I was last on them. They only go to pieces if they are going to be outdoors exposed to the wet AFAIK.
