Ideally we would like to finish before 6 am and are going to do everything in our power to make it so, it will depend on the amount of players but we have a new structure and are starting at 8p.m. on the dot to help get the game over as soon as possible.

Played the Brucepoker Maynooth last week. It was a great event and a really good atmosphere. Really is well worth a look. Structure was good for a 1 day event. Unfortunately you have to sacrafice structure to finish it up at some kind of decent hour. I'm not complaining, and I trust you will get the balance right as you go along. Congratulations on another great event.

ouch to the structure, its less chips thats need not less blinds... your making it more crapshooting than skill.

    just my 2 cent

Although I agree with you ollie, I do feel that people won't come if you get 10K for your rebuy and you got 15K for the rebuy on previous events.

I think you just have to say "If I get to the business end of the tournament its going to be a long night"

It's giving players that maybe are not used to the big tournament feel a chance to play in a tournamet that is costing them €170 maximum, and has a great atmosphere about it.

I know that longer levels works better skill wise, but it will turn it into a 2day event.

The guarantee is attracting the numbers.... and ive a feeling that Mullingar will get the numbers too.

totally agree, its the chip stacks and prize money thats getting players. Which is never a bad thing.

In future would it not be possible to play this event on a Sat/Sun and start at 5 or 6 and keep the old structure. I know Sat/Sun can lead to less numbers, but coming down from 150 to 120 wouldn't be the end of the world.

Busy day at work, Smurph? ;)

Looking forward to this one, Paul. As I mentioned on the other thread, a prompt start and shorter breaks -- along with the slightly modified structure -- should get the game finished a couple of hours earlier. It's the 25k chips that's the big draw for pulling in the numbers IMO, so I'd be reluctant to change that now we're used to it! See you in Mullingar if not before.

    Hi Smurph,

The only way to qualify for the Pub League final in Moyvalley is to play in one of the weekly games in participating pubs or clubs nationwide.

Although we're at the end of the 11th week in a 12 week league so might be a bit late to start now

Anyone looking to get to Mullingar this evening.....
We'll be travelling in 2 separate cars,so there is plenty of room if anyone wants to tag along...

Leaving about 6.30'ish from D.11 but anywhere near the M.50 would be good to pick-up.

    Send pm by 6'ish.

    Smurph :)
