My wisdom tooth had this little tooth attached which was annoyine me and causing discomfort.

I had it taken off a few weeks ago (the little tooth) and now it appears I have an exposed nerve/root on the area the tooth was taken off

The actual wisdom tooth itself is fine

Have I to get the whole tooth pulled? Is there anything to be done I mean.

I was at a dentist today and he put a coating over it and said see how it goes but that was 5 hours ago and after eating I feel the sensitivity already.

Have not been to the dentist who did the original procedure yet as he is far out but I guess removing the tooth is all that can be done?
