    How ya

Over the last 2 weeks I think I have done some damage to my knuckles (2). I can feel them creaking and am in a bit of pain whenever I hit anything or anyone with them. It feels really weird. Have I done damage here? Has anyone here ever had this before?

It might help the lads inform you better if you posted your training experience and type of gloves your wear, plus if your wrapping up or not.

I've had it in the past, a long time ago when it was thought best to hit the heavy bag with either light bag gloves or bare knuckled!.

Thankfully very few people are training like that these days, but you might be one of the few!.

Either way I'd suggest resting your knuckles, then if your guilty of hitting the bag with little bag mitts or not wrapping change the error of your ways.

Wearing 4oz gloves, Think I am guilty of not wrapping here to be honest. used to do it, but some way along the line I just stoppped..

Ok, rest, wrap & use heavier gloves.

I'd suggest asking in the boxing forum what weight glove, this might depend on your own body weight and punching power.

Personally I wouldn't be using 4oz gloves on the heavy bag.

If your training MMA something else might be worth considering. Now I'm out of the MMA loop a few years now, but I found when I went over from heavy gloves to light MMA gloves my timing and distance were a little off and so I trained with both regularly, but seldom hit the heavy bag with the MMA gloves.

Training will have advanced since then so don't take my advice on that last bit.

Could be something wrong there you should get it checked out.

Well its always wise to advise on seeking medical advice.

But if it was anything more sinister its been my experience that it would show on one or two injured joints rather than the whole lot of 'em - that to me shows lack of experience and lack of protection, mostly both go hand in hand.
