    Hi guys, I am just about to head over to UK to get one.

    Has anyone here had any issues with the new shape model. Is there anything I need to check for. Will be doing RAC check and have a mechanic lined up.

    Sounds like you are covering yourself well with the RAC. One thing I would check carefully is how that auto box feels from cold, some BMW autos start being problematic at that mileage. Any whining? Kickdown OK? Smooth shifts? Clonking into reverse? That sort of thing.

    I'm looking to change to a E60 530d. I've been checking some out online but haven't been to any dealers yet. Preference is for a 2005 automatic with M-Sport kit. Will need to trade so won't be heading to the UK even though I noticed some beauties on pistonheads website!

    Did you go ahead with the purchase of the 530d?
