Possible ***MAJOR SPOILER*** from Dark UFO

Firstly, the following is from the Rumour section of Dark UFO so it is by no means set in stone. But the nature of the Rumour is quite major if it turns out to be true. The rumour is about the finale of Season 5.

Do not click on the following link if you don't want to know about this supposed spoiler, and I would advise that, even though spoiler tags will be used by all users I'm sure, it's probably best that you stay out of the thread.

    http://lostrumours.blogspot.com/2009/03/major-rumours-from-finale.html#comments

The following is my own personal comment on the Rumour:

I'm at a loss for words if it is turn out to be true. The most mind blowing thing is that it kind of makes a hell of a lot of sense if we assume that the Losties (+ Miles, Daniel and Juliet) stuck in 1977 never get back to the present day. I would personally love it if this rumour turned out to be true.

right i just read it, here's what i think
it sounds ****. fits in with the majority of the season so far. over the top, underwhelming nonsense

Really? Can I ask you, in your opinion, how those stuck in 1977 will get back to the present day?

i have no idea, nothing is beyond the realms of possibility with Lost. im simply saying i dont like the sound of what they have planned (assuming of course this rumour is actually true), dont get me wrong, it might turn out to be great. when i first heard the phrase "frozen donkey wheel" i thought "wtf?" but that turned out to be quite cool. as for the rest of the season so far, ive found most of the episodes this year quite underwhelming, i hope it picks up a lot from here on in. the finale might turn out to be fantastic, all previous finales have been excellent so it might work, but from reading it, it sounds a bit TOO mental. ill read it again..

I sort of agree with kronsington, it sounds a bit crap really.
Daniel was fairly sure that they couldn't effect the past, so if that's to be believed, then why would Sawyer and co hide themselves away for 30 years?

As to getting back to the present, or Locke, Ben and Sun getting back to 1977, I'd imagine that the wheel, or whatever anomaly that the Orchid station gets built on will have something to do with it. Remember, in the video that Ben showed Locke in the Orchid station, that Doctor One-arm was experimenting with time traveling bunnies.

Also, in episode 1 of this season, it starts off with Daniel being under ground, at the location of the Orchid station, sometime in the 70s.

I get the feeling that this is just another one of those hoaxes that goes around.

But in The Orchid Orientation Film, didn't Candle say that the rabbit (No.15) couldn't be in a close vicinity to its' double? That the two cannot be close together? Maybe if this rumour is true,
the aged losties didn't necessarily spend the entire 30 years in the Temple, and only went down there when 815 crashed. This way they could avoid running into their younger selves. Whatever Candle was getting at in the video, it sounds like it is imperative that two of the same person cannot be close together.

Which in itself doesn't make the rumor any more true, it could just be one of the little bits of information that the rumor starter used to come up with the idea.

Maybe it is true, I just don't believe that it is. It's a bit too much Evil Dead III.

That is f***ed up right there.

Not sure whether or not to believe it tho. I would rather think that something a little more spectacular happens that leaves everyones mouth bang off the floor after they lose all power in their jaws.

But that doesnt really seem that way to me.

Oh I agree with you, it's just a rumour and is by no means set in stone. But I find it to be a plausible theory if nothing else.

All the best hoaxes are plausible ;) I don't know if I'd be happy or sad if it turned out to be true. Would have to see how it played out. I've thought, from the beginning of the time travel thing, that Daniel would figure it out and use the anomaly in the Orchid to get them back, based on episode 1.

    This exchange makes me wonder if Daniel is still around;

Sawyer: I ain't here to play Nostradamus to these people. Besides, Faraday's got some interesting theories on what we can and can't do here.

    Jack: Faraday? Is he here?

    Sawyer: [pauses] Not anymore.

god damn it! Why did i read it!

I'm not sure that i really like this idea... the main reason why i think(kinda hope) it's false is because of the amount of make up that would have to be put on to the actors every day until lost finishes would be a bit much

But where were they during "The Purge "of the Darma village, none seem to be around then so I was just guessing they got off before then.

I hope it is not true only because I was too weak to say no to clicking the link. I want to be shocked and surprised - please be bull****. *crosses fingers*

Anyone who has read this rumour, please don't discuss it outside of this thread, even with tags. I know it sounds silly and almost certain to be false. But last season there was a silly rumour about Ben turning a frozen donkey wheel in the finale. Everyone laughed. It turned out to be true.

ack :/ yea sorry thought I was in this thread when I was replying elsewhere. Won't happen again.

Tbh though, all rumours are pretty much speculation. Think you have as much chance of bobby ewing coming out of the shower as any other rumour out there.

i came across this online. be warned.

refers to a new cast member and where we might see him/her.

    seriously, consider yourself warned

You have to click on the "Are you sure" button. DarkUFO uses this to hide major spoilers.

I'm quite worried about this spoiler now. The way the show has gone in the last few episodes makes it look like this could actually be real. Be very disappointed if it is.

It does make you wonder how in the blue hell are they going to get back without Faraday. Unless Chang has the knowledge to help them of course and he'll probably get his hands on Faraday's noteboook too so that could be a possibility.
