I'm looking for someone to rent and manage my house. Has anyone ever used DublinLettings.com or could anyone recommend someone else? What about Premier or O'Dwyer's? Are they good? I know I asked about this before, the MegaManagement Thread is so big it's hard to know where to start, does anyone have any definitive recommendations?

My experience with O Dywer management has always been good. Expensive but they do get back to you quickly

I am going with DublinLettings.com. They charge 8% of monthly income Is this good, can anyone recommend who are the best value agents to go with? If I'm I'm travelling around the world for the year & not working anywhere do I have to pay tax on wehatever is left after the Agent management Fees?

Surely at this stage you would have rang several of the Management Companies and asked for their charges? I mean, you've been given plenty of suggestions.

Glacier, please don't go travelling around the world by yourself for a year. You are not mentally up to it. You are going to get yourself in serious trouble.

Go on a guided tour (oz-bus.com?) instead.

Seriously, if you can't make a decision on your own (which you've clearly shown to be the case on boards), and are unable to follow advice or instructions, you are going to end up in serious trouble when you're on your own in an unfriendly, foreign land.

I say all this with kindness. Are you mentally alright? I know your parents died and you've been on your own doing nothing for a few years, but are you sure you are mentally ready to travel? Your posts on boards suggest you're not...

Aaarrrrrrrghhhhhhhh that is the best advice Glacier's been given on here!!

Seriously though, Glacier you haven't got a clue!! Whether you're working or not, rent is income and liable for tax AND if you're not resident the tenant has to withold 20% of the rent for Revenue. Renting while not living in Ireland is pricey!

Stop worrying about agents and look up your legal requirements, tax, prtb etc
