Guy, im looking at a car in England at the moment.
its a 2003 BMW 330d facelift model (i think its the 184bhp model, but i will confirm with a VIN check wether its the 210bhp model im preying it is!)
97k (high i know but has full history)

great spec inc. oem 17"s, genuine m-tech car, xenons, full black leather, PDC etc etc in gunmetal grey.

its advertised at 7,995 stg, would i be off my head to think i could get it for 6,000stg in todays climate, considering it will be exported and the dearer wont have to provide any warrenty or aftercare?

cant post a link sorry as pistonheads is down for maintainance.

I think you answered your own question when you said off your head.

I don't think 20% off is achieveable, and you'll find most UK Dealers are stricter than Irish when it comes to discounts. I remember haggling 3 years ago on a MINI, the guy was coming down in arbitrary amounts, 30 pounds here, 45 there.

I'd imagine you might get it for 7k if you pushed the guy.

I'd say yeah, you would be off your head to offer that for it.

As you said its a saleable car, he shouldnt have any problems selling it at the advertised price.

Try get him down to his lowest price then tell him you dont need aftercare, warranty and he can claim back whatever tax is left on the car. That should get the price down a bit more. Im heading over in a week or two aswell

UK discounting is nothing like here on cars like that, I'd say if you got £500 offyou would be doing VERY well.
