bmw 316 problem

    my cousin hooked up a problem reading device to my bmw to see what was wrong with it. it had been jumping and chucking so we stop driving it. myself and my wife are in a small bit of financial trouble lately to to no work. anyways the device came up with 3 problems.as follows:

    p1341 multiple cylinder misfire with fuel cut off
    p1347 misfire cylinder 3 with fuel cut off
    p1343 misfire cylinder 1 with fuel cut off



    is this major problems?
    is it expensive to repair?

    Your as well off getting to a Mechanic to know for sure, but it could just be a coil pack. The experts here in this forum are Darragh29, and MrDiagnostic - they'd be able to tell you in a hearbeat.

    I had the same issue with mine. Independent mechanic replaced 1 cylinder coil and 4 spark plugs for €180. Sounds like you need 2 coils. Do you know from service history if plugs have been replaced. My car had 45k miles on clock when plugs replaced. what is the milage on yours?

    2 Coils plus set of plugs plus labour - I think you will be looking at €250 to €300 from independent.

    BMW main dealer you can double above.
