I'm sure that there's already a thread on this but I'm not in the mood to to look through 14 pages of threads to find it.

I use 3v vouchers as my credit card on the PS Store, as I do not trust myself one bit with a proper credit card, and tonight I can't login my new card details.

Every time I enter the details they are correct yet it keeps saying the details are incorrect. I've been at it for about an hour and am ready to throw my Sixaxis through the t.v screen.

    Help!!!!!

Not 100% sure, but I think you have to wait a few days after you got the 3V voucher before you can ose in on the PS Store.

Again, not sure though, but someone around here will be.

Your going to have to ring Sony every time you want to add a 3V voucher to your account as the system would look like you have several (stolen) credit cards you are trying to purchase stuff with.

If you don't trust yourself with a credit card, how about switching to Halifax and getting their Visa debit card. Its a credit card that debites the money direct from your current account immediately like a laser card.

Had a similarish problem myself recently, although it was with a credit card not a 3v voucher. What worked for me (eventually) was just to fill in ALL the address lines (leave no blanks)

I could never get the credit card details "correct" in the PS3 PSN store, but when I went there on the PC, the exact same details were accepted.

are you talking about the transferring of details from your old account on the psn online login? if so i had similar problems myself with it telling me my details were incorrect (although they werent). in the end i just did it manually and went through first time. i still need to go back and fill in my ps3 serial number though, thats the only info that got lost. kept all my trophies etc which is what i was worried about

I still have trouble doing that . Think it might be ie6 issue. What link did you use for manual entry . Both sign in and submit links will not work for me .

as i say in every thread about 3v vouchers and the psn store, you have to ring them to take your 3v details off the store anytime you want to renew with a new voucher, it will not accept new 3v vouchers due to the fact of the short time time frames the card is active

all you need to do is ring them tell them to escalate your problem to head office and within 2-3 minutes you can put your new details in and away you go

although lately i found if you top up the voucher without letting it run past the expiry date it will fund your wallet nps, but bearing in mind you will have to renew your number once the voucher runs out

thats bs, ive often done it with several cards
OP it takes a few days, sony take a penny to verify the card, try in 4/5 days it will work
and to save hassle next time, try and transfer funds from any new topup card to old card to save hassle again, till it expires, its a pain in the arse, but thats the way it works

its the bottom one where it warns you that you cannot retrieve the information if you proceed. cant see any info that i lost other than the serial no etc.

I assume you mean the submit icon. I cannot access that icon. It is not active although present. It is just below the page on the screenshot but that will not work. Are you using IE6 ?

Sorted. Upgraded to IE7 and can do the upgrade manually. The automatic way still does not work but who cares.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF how the hell can I add funds if it won't accept 3V?
This thing worked all last year!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭GothPunk

Just leave it for a day or two and try again, it can just take a while before it allows you to add a new credit card. I know it's a pain in the ass but I suppose it's good to have safety measures like that in place. What I've taken to doing is adding €50 or so to my wallet using a 3v voucher and then just leaving the funds sit there until I see something new I want. That way I'm not changing my credit card details so frequently.

Put all but €5 on your psn, then after a week, try to add the other €5.

This is not worth a new thread but I cannot find where I can edit my location flag in my PSN id.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

If you really really want to change the flag, use a proxy server from the country you want and then login to the eu playstation site and update your profile.
The flag is set based on your IP range.

when u log onto eu.playstation.com look down in the bottom left to "choose country" to Ireland.
Then update your portable ID again - u should now have the right one.
