R4 is a bit long in the tooth now, the Edge is based off of the CycloDS Evolution.. a clone of it.. with certain features hobbled. The R4 is most likely a clone too, as the original makers of them have long since stopped.

If you can trump up the money, go for a Cyclo DS Evolution.
