I dunno about anybody here but I must admit I am looking forward to this. Most people here should be familiar with Armando Iannuccis work by now. The Day today, Alan Partidge and of course The Thick of it which is what this film is based on are some of his most famous pieces of work. Anyways trailer....

    More!!
In the Loop is an upcoming feature film directed by Armando Iannucci. It is an adaptation of the BBC TV series The Thick of It, and is a satire on Anglo-American politics in the 21st Century. The film is due to be released on 17 April 2009 in the United Kingdom.
In the film, the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom want to declare another war, similar in style to the Iraq War and the War on Terrorism. The plot follows the people behind the scenes and the fight between those who want the war and those who do not. It stars Tom Hollander, James Gandolfini, Chris Addison, Peter Capaldi, Gina McKee, Steve Coogan and David Rasche. The film is a joint collaboration between BBC Films and the UK Film Council.

The film was announced in May 2008 with a BBC press release stating that filming had commenced on the film. As of December 2008, filming had concluded and a world premiere (at the Sundance Film Festival) was held on 22 January 2009. The European gala premier screening was held in the independent Glasgow Film Theatre as the opening of the 2009 Glasgow Film Festival on the 12th of February 2009, attended by Iannucci and members of the cast.
Sorry if this has being posted before:o

Just back from seeing In The Loop earlier this evening. My ears are still burning. The language... ye flipping gods, the language. Most of it comes from Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi), but the Americans get in on it too. IMDB doesn't have nearly as much of the dialogue (yet) as it needs to, some of it is a real triumph of a filthy mind.

I haven't seen the UK series this is based on (The Thick Of It), but I think I ought to, now. The US cast is quite strange, but suits the feel of the film, with Gandolfini, Anna Chlumsky (My Girl), Mimi Kennedy (Dharma & Greg), and David Rasche (Sledge Hammer)!

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
