You might want to take a fresher course in the English language before considering 3rd Level education.

Hi, Im almost finished the MBS Ecommerce which includes alot of the same subjects..I would say that the Masters in ISM is probably a better choice between the two! It's a broad course and includes alot of coursework and projects..but it's very doable and you'll pick up alot during the year. While there are always certain modules that dont appeal to some..I think overall it is only the one year and as far as I know doesn't include a thesis!anyway best of luck:)

Thank you - appreciate that feedback. I'm considering taking it on part-time as I'm already in the workforce - takes two years to complete part-time.

Again - thanks for taking the time to reply...

MIS is actually the biggest pile of shít. Worst subject you could do.

    Hi Guys,

I am sorry if I am hijacking this thread, I don't mean too. I am a longterm boards.ie reader, first time poster.

I have just accepted a place on this course after completing an Honors degree in Information Systems Management.

I have a few questions and I would really appreciate it if any of you could answer them for me.

    (1) Is there a dissertation / public speaking component to this course?

    (2) Is there may class contact hours per week? (I would really appreciate if anyone had a sample / old timetable from this course to give me an idea of what it would be like).

(3)Can this course be completed in conjunction with holding down a part-time job? If I was to leave my current job, would there be any possibility of lecturing / assistant lecturing to keep some type of income in existence to help me survive?

(4)The information on this course online is somewhat vague, would anyone maybe have a comprehensive list of subjects / old course content/outline they might be able to send me a copy of?

Thanks for you time. I am looking forward to any replies I might get.

    Hi Guys,

It's me again. I have just registered for this course (well, partially registered), I am fine completing the steps but when I get to the optional module selection (which is complusory to make up the credits you must take) then I get stuck.

I was just wondering if anyone would have any broader information on all of the modules of this course?

    Thanks,
    CompGeek.

    Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your reply. PM sent. Do you mind me asking how are you finding the course?

What sort of course hours are involved? (I know you are doing this course part-time but I would still like your opinion).
