Has anyone noticed that it is now €1 per hour to park in Bray and was 50c an hour last week. Do these buffoons in the council have any inkling what is currently going on in the real world? These slimy beaurocrats will not listen to your complaints but you sure as hell can deal with them this summer in the local elections.

They have started charging for the seafront too now. Not much good for tourism in the town. I know they needed to do something about people parking there all day and going on the dart but its going almost all the way down the prom.

Could be worse. €2.80 an hour in the city center.

That's true but there have been parking issues in the town for years and there have been dozens of business closed down over it as no one was shopping in the town. They really should be encouraging people to shop locally and cheap parking but for a limited period, say 3 hours, would be more beneficial.

These proposals went on public display last year and public submissions were asked for. Did you lodge a submission or attend any of the council meetings where the draft was discussed?

Cost of parking on the seafront (opposite Katie Gallagher's) has come down to €3 per day from approx. €4.50. That's not too bad.

Many things have changed since last year. One would assume that the Council would be aware of the impact of their decision in the current climate.

Are you taking this up with your councilors? Rather than complain about it online why don't you bring it up with your public representatives? You can assume the council to be aware if you want but if you want anything to be done about it why don't you send a letter, or even an e-mail, to your councilors?

    Point well made! ;)
