I have several oil leaks on my old car and want to pinpoint them and get them sorted. Does anyone know anywhere that have those drive on ramps to allow access to the underneath ?

I know there is a garage in Dundalk that has it but looking for North County Dublin if possible.

They are outdoor portable types, larger than the DIY ones that can be bought in Halfords etc., and raise the car about 3 feet or so.

    Anyone ?

    This may help.

What I'd advise is to remove the engine under tray if fitted, you'll need to jack up the car. Spray with degreaser while engine us cold. Drive to nearest self wash, spray engine degreaser around sides, use plenty and let drip on to engine sump, leave for 15mins and then wash with jet gun. Hopefully this should clean most of old oil and road grime away allowing you to pin point leaks.

Rear main oil seal, front crank oil seal and sump gasket are the areas I'd concentrate on.

Ahh I have done that several times over the years but there is just so much crap there and the car sits quite low so its difficult to get the power cleaner to point where I need to without having the car raised. Also I would need to work in the degreaser around the gearbox area.

If I cant find somewhere I will just put some axles stands under it and go from there.
