    Hi ,
got made redundant last year so havent paid any stamps since mid oct '08.Now I need a few fillings, rang my local dentist to make an appointment which is going to cost me 55 euro.Dont have a problem paying it ,but was just wondering surely my stamps should have me covered for a while after I have worked seeing as i have paid 15 years + stamps?

    [rant]
having said that it wouldnt surprise me if I do have to pay the full whack for the treatment seeing as the greedy bankers have screwed us all over and the government seem intent on getting cash from the people that can least afford it[end of rant]

sorry had to get that out of my system:)

    thanks in advance

Lab mouse, i'm pretty certain your stamps should cover you for around 2 years after you are made redundant. You can ring the dept of social welfare benefit section in Letterkenny, give them your PPS number and they will be able to tell you your entitlements. I will ask my receptionist to ring them tomorrow and post their responce.

Davo10 thanks for the reply.Your right I am covered, there was confusion over my surname(its spelt differently to the rest of my family--a dyslexic doctor put it down wrong on my birth cert!)

Again thanks for going through the trouble of replying
