    Hi

I've got the dish up and a Sky box with NO card (Im using it as FTA), I have a sat finder. The sensitivity knob of the finder is about 1/3 the way round before a signal found noise is heard. Is this enough?

Second is the sky box - it says no signal being revceived so I need to know if I've got the thing hooked up correctly.

What cable goes from which socket between Sky box and TV?

You're not pointing correctly at the Astra 2 satellite. You need to turn the dish slowly (very slowly if you're near the right point) and the signal indicator will go off the scale. Turn down the sensitity know until it's back in the middle and fine-tune the dish pointing.

Final fine tuning can be done with the SKY receiver - go for maximum quality, but be aware that there is a time-lag between moving the dish (a tiny amount!) and the quality indicator registering the change.

ps - what's the tape on the end of the cable? The F-connector should just screw on the cable, trapping the braid and you can snip off any excess.
