    my laptop screen is broken,believe it's possible to hook my laptop to a pc monitor,would i have everything i need on the pc cable wise or do i need to get a new cable,the laptop is fine except for the screen

    you would need a dvi/hdmi/vga lead that be all

    LCD panels are cheap now.

    What output is on your laptop?

    Yup all you physically need is the cable. But be aware that having the cable plugged in will not switch the video output on its own. You will likely need to press the function key and one of the F-keys to do that.
