question about sleep study

    Hi,
I was wondering whether a sleep study can be conducted on someone who has to take sleeping pills to sleep or if this would affect the validity of the results. Also is there any point in someone going for a sleep study, if it is very unlikely ( based on previous hospital experience) that they will be able to sleep at all in that environment.

    Thanks,
    Jodie
