206 safety rating

    i checked the euro ncap results and it says that the 206 has a safty rating of 4 stars,. but thats for the 00 models.. im looking at a 99 but i would be put off if it was lower than the 4 star.. ne 1 know what as 99 206 would be for safty? 3? 4? star

    That depends on whether the model you're looking at is fitted with dual front airbags. As the car wasn't tested in 99, there's no score, but be aware that equipment fitted in 2000 may not be fitted to the model you're looking at.
    If safety is a concern. try to buy a car with ABS and at least 2 airbags. Other older small cars to achieve 4 stars include the Fiat Punto, Renault Clio and Toyota Yaris
