Will the old facebook return?

Having Twitterised facebook, and seen the backlash from its users, do you think that the powers that be within Facebook will revert to the old system?

I used to think it was excellent. However now it just torments me, reading about someone who has thrown a tomato at someone else etc etc.

The new feed is intrusive and over complicated. The old customisable nature of the live feed was great and I dont see why it was changed.

it's one thing i dont get with social networking sites, they change the layout and don't give you the option to revert to the old one.

it's doubtful that they changed the backend database so it's the same data being displayed differently so there shouldn't be much problems allowing people to choose which layout they want.

bebo as far as i know allows you to choose which is quite good :)

Crikey if they'd just give me the option to cut out the BS about people's applications, I'd quit giving out.

Out of interest, what will be the future 'Facebook'? As in.. We had bebo, then MySpace, Facebook or Twitter, and then what?

The good news is they have! There's a hide application drop down now on the news feed. It makes all the difference.
