Sorry if this has been asked already. E-mailed the reserves but got no reply.

So are they? And if so when?

    Thanks.

to be honest I dont know as the story is different with every unit you talk to. I know my recruit platoon stopped recruitment at start of March. But their security clearances are still going through.

There has been a freeze of sorts on recruiting in the reserve.

The numbers that a sub unit had on its books on the 31st of january are the numbers you can have now.

So in other words if there was 100 on the books at the end of jan and that 100 are active ie parading all the time that unit cant recruit.

Or if they had 100 on there books but twenty non effective if they can get that twenty to sign their discharge then they have twenty places for recruits.

I don't know that that's in force yet last I heard it was only on the table.

You can bin non-effectives without haveing to talk to them or get their sig.

    1)Yes it is.

2)No you cant non effective means they are not parading but still have to finish their term of enlistment.
So you must get them to sign discharge papers.

Better off visiting the unit concerned when they're parading. Just like the old days. Email is a bit modern for some.
