Laptop keeps Freezing

Hi all, So I have this problem with my dell studio the past few days. It keeps freezing and i have to restart it by pressing the power button on the side. I done a scan with windows defender and It found nothing. I wondering what could it be?? What should I do . Thanks very much

Does it freeze when you are using any specific program?
Have you made any changes to the pc recently?
You could try doing a last know good config.

To load the last known good configuration reboot the computer and beofre windows starts to load press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Use your arrown keys to move to "Last Known Good Configuration" and press your Enter key.
