Does anyone here Photograph old ruins and run down areas?? Like Urban exploration.

The lads from barelythereireland have started irelands first Urban Exploration Site fair play to them its about time. They have a message board to post your own reports. I think boards.ie should of had something similar but the lads have done well.

if your a fan of urebex check them out at barelythereireland.com

and if anyone is into celeb photos go to the mansion house today the irish team will be there.

barelythereireland has been referenced a number of times over the past 6 - 12 months on this forum including posts by the site owners. For some reason those who post about it usually don't become active in this online community and it is rare that we might hear from them again.

Having said that matters of photography associated with urban exploration are welcome here just as rural exploration, macro, landscapes, portraiture, wedding, sports, etc... are also welcome. I wonder whether urban exploration was ever requested from the boards sys admins. My basic understanding of barelythereireland (from a number of brief discussions with the sites owner) is that it was an independent site set up for independent purposes. I don't know whether such purposes would be compatible or grant the same level of control by boards to those with an independent interest in such a forum site.

This thread however is not compaible with the photography charter or generally accepted protocols particularly the points contained therein relating to promoting (including spam) of websites. Thus the thread is now closed.
