    Hey Guys

I drive a 1998 Honda Prelude 2.2vti and was just wondering would it be worth investing in an engine remap to give it that bit extra.Would it make much of a difference to the vtec performance wise or should i just leave it the way it is????

Are there many mods? Don't quote me on this but I think the majority believe that the VTEC setup and fuel ratio is at optimum (or very near it) from factory.

If you haven't already, a decent induction kit and decat aftermarket exhaust are probably the best places to start and easy to install/remove.

A remap would be better after some engine work/other modifications.

Once again, I'm no Honda man so I'm sure someone else will advise you better.

fit a good cold air induction kit.
fit a full exhaust system inc. decat, manifold and cat back.
    decent plugs.
then a remap, either unichip, or hondata or whatever you feel you would rather.

vtec crossover point may be dropped a bit depending on the individual engine properties, and you should see a decent increase in performance.

am i right in saying the 2.2 VTi is 197bhp standard??

after all the above you should be up and around the 220bhp give or take.
