    whats ur opinion of them.
i think the older ones are very light but very reliable.

never had a problem with my one.. which was 15yrs old!!!
    started every time.. no bother!

Incredibly boring granny-mobile. No image whatsoever.

    Reliable though.

My mother bought her one in 1994 and wont let go of it to this day!!!! Believe it or not the only thing that she failed her NCT on is that one of her bulbs werent working. thats it!!!! Also considering myself and my sister learned how to drive in it :D

Definetly a reliable car (think also depends on the driver though, course its not gonna be in good nick if it wasn't looked after properly)

Micra? A thread about Micras on boards? Seriously???

All I can say is, I was rear eded by a Micra once. The replacement car I got was a fecking Micra and I can see how I was rear ended. Apart from the fact the learner driver who did it was talking to her friend and not even looking at the road, they have no stopping ability at all!!! None!!!! Might as well believe God will sort it out as the brakes are non existant.

Brilliant reliable car, had a micra as my first car, never left me down. Had to sell it as was doing a longer commute, was in tears saying goodbye!!!!

Funny that. I was rear ended by one before as well and I remember sitting there for what seemed like an awfully long time thinking "what's that screeching noise?" before the thing finally hit me.

All I know is I wouldn't like to be lumped in the same category as people who drive them generally. They always seem to be driven by barely competent drivers.

As a former micra driver I take offence to that!!!

Did get a little sick of other cars bullying me when driving on anything bigger than a country lane. Great satisfaction though on the day when the boy racer in his golf who overtook me, spun into a ditch trying to brake before a garda checkpoint (wasn't injured, am not that cruel)

If he was in a micra, he definitely would have would have been SERIOUSLY injured.

No fear of that, the micra didn't have much in the way of acceleration power!

apparently the newer model isn't as reliable as the older ones. Remember a mechanic pointing out to me that a back wheel hub on the new model was identical to a renault 9s if that makes any difference. A lot of the newer nissans had immobiliser problems also for a while. I remember my dad had awful trouble with an almera a few years back and one of the micra courtesy cars did the same thing. Bad luck i suppose

Don't need to be going fast to have a bad accident in a micra tbh.
