As new....this car has just been totally concours resprayed and is fantastic in every respect....super service history and detailing to include Scudaria wing Shields and later 512 tr mono block alloys. www.sportandclassic.ie for the best cars in the world.

There you go (assuming they mean blue -> red and not red -> redder).

Aye I saw that. I was just wondering on peoples opinions of a Ferrari with a full respray to a different colour lol.

Really needs the cream interior to finish it IMO.

Has to be worth less than an original car, IMO. Not to mention the fact that i'd prefer almost any colour to red on a Ferrari.

Would rather have a F355 for the same money

    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Ferrari/F355/GTS-Berl/200840190230481/advert

Although if push came to shove I'd rather have a 911 than either. Testarossa is so damn big and wide I can't imagine where the fun in driving would be (apart from the phalic delight of having that huge V12 and the Miami Vice kudos). I prefer a car that's light on its feet.

The 'Rossa would be a fun classic in original, pre-facelift spec. though. A real landmark car of '80s excess, it kind of encapsulates that period.

Hardly the same price, its 10k more.
But it is a nicer car.

how much would a full paint job on one of those actually set you back? Must have been a huge job to do it properly

I would have preferred it in blue tbh.

Well you'd have to ask for full details of course but considering the car it could be a good thing, it's not a Golf.

Yeah, it's a bag of piss isn't it. That's why I like the idea of a 911 - supercar you can use every day, not too conspicuous. F355 was the last good-looking ferrari but the last GREEEEAAAT looking Ferrari was this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_288_GTO
Similar era to the 'Rossa but much, much more desireable...

BTW - 911s seem(ed) relatively rare around the leafy suburbs - the new money went for Astons, Bentleys, Maseratis and of course Boxsters(flash for less cash) and Cayennes. 911s didn't have the richard-head image they allegedly had in London during the '80s Thacherite boom.

While that GTO is phenomenal, I vehemently disagree with it being, as was so accurately put by a certain Tony the Tiger, "the last, GREEEEAAAT looking Ferrari". I go aboslutely weak at the knees at the sight of an F430. Maybe it's that I'm of a (probably) younger generation, but there's still people in the F-car design department that know what they're doing.

    Last nice looking ferrari?

    Pffffffft...

Cian while the 612 is the "gentleman's Ferrari", in terms of styling it absolutely lacks what a Ferrari should have.

The 599 on the other hand, wow. I have previously said that the new California looks generic, but I've really grown to love it, especially from the (admittedly) gruesome rear (which does bear resemblance to that of the 599).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,726 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

I think between the two, i'd pick the 612, something about it is just...
    AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

    I love it.

What the hell is this though.

And the california looks amazing imo.
Long bonnet ferraris are just amazing.

    Thats an Enzo :D

Which was restyled by Pininfarina for a very wealthy car lover called James Glickenhaus and they called it the Ferrari P4/5 because they took styling queues from the old P3(?)

Apparently he likes to drive it to, which is more than can be said of a lot of people with exotics.
