At that age, I would probably look for a good private car, although you could find a decent one in a garage, albeit for a little more.

Warranty will likely be minimal, 3 months, maybe 6 months if you push for it.

You will always get a better deal going private, but do remember you have absolutely no comeback if you buy private, so make sure you do your homework, study the car with a fine-tooth comb, check its history on a car check site and against the service history and bring a mechanic along if you are not confident checking it yourself.

Always ask the seller whether the car has been crashed or damaged, and ask about any work done like timing belt etc.

Also remember that there are a lot of 206's out there. They are a very popular car. So if you're not happy, don't settle. There are plenty more out there!

    other car Manufacture out there....:)

Just ask people you know for a decent mechanic. Carzone prices are asking prices-not selling prices! Look around a few local papers. At that age a private sale could make sense as any warranty you'd get from a dealer wont be for long and you'll pay for the privilege. These are often cars that are used about town. Thats not usually a good thing. You night find a car with a couple of more miles could be better than a low mileage town car. At that age go for condition and history above mileage...well within reason anyway...
