    Only in the USA!!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7954902.stm
Staff at a high school in the US state of Texas had students settle their differences by fighting inside a steel cage, a local newspaper has reported.

The Dallas Morning News says it has obtained a school board report that says two "cage fights" took place at South Oak Cliff High between 2003-2005.

The 2008 report says the principal and other employees knew of the practice.

No criminal charges were ever filed, and the principal at the time has denied any fights took place.

    Brilliant!

Reminds me of that Japanese film I saw once where all the students of a school were put on an island and had to fight to the death for their freedom.

I had the great honor of attending a high school in Texas for two years.
Our science project was to make a canon that launched potatoes using common household chemicals as a propellant.
I still to this day can't understand what the F**k these people are thinking when they come up with this sh!t.

A potato bazooka? You can make a potato bazooka with a length of pipe and some <snip> and then you <snip> the <snip> to make sure it's <snip>. Then you rest it on a heated <snip> but the problem is it can only shoot vertically and is too unpredictable in distance and trajectory.
There is also a full on non-mortar style shoulder held potato bazooka a couple of us set about making at one stage in college.

Teachers are the same everywhere I guess. Was behind one in Heuston station today, she was angry that there was no discount ticket price for teachers, "€68 for a ticket to Killarney?!".

So she clocked your man with a steel chair.

    You lie.

'Tis no word of a lie, fate.

Except the bit about the steel chair. That was bullshít, mind.
