Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

Client of mine is renovating a cottage on the slope of a hill. Near the cottage there is a reasonable size stream. The drop in level in the stream is approx. 45m from top of site to bottom. He has worked out the flow rate and approx. water pressure he will get if he pipes water from highest point to closest to his house.

Nayone out there know about generating electricity from flowing water?
    or
anyone know of a site worth looking at for info.

    Go to this sites forum.
Full of hands on information and discussion on all forms of Renewables including Micro Hydro Electric.
It sounds like an excellent resource your client has.

I have a Canadian made Stream Engine here which works great, depending on the flow rate. If you PM me your email address I can send you the owners manual for this which will give fairly accurate info on the output available.
