I never new about this anti-Super snobbery before, but a beetle is a beetle.

So what if it's bottom was rusty? My car's bottom was more rust than metal - nothing that some effort and determination couldn't take care of.

It's barbaric - they put the whole car in, including all the chrome hubcaps, bumpers, badges.

Im just joking about the 1303 thing,and my beetle has many holes in it too.I suppose some people just dont care.

Quite apart from anything else, the sheer amount of diesel wasted in running that shredder for that makes a nonsense of 'recycling' anything. If the bug ran for the next 20 years, at 5mpg, it'd still do less environmental damage, let alone cost.........
