I would like suggestions of things to do anywhere around the country or abroad of the best things you have done or experienced at night .
From a quiet cup of coffee admiring in Paris to an electric night out in Munich .
Hopefully get a broad range of things to do or see , for anyone that likes night life.

What I love to do is get in buses in a London and admire the sights enhanced either by a loud eye-catching lights or by a dim lights which its features . The number 15 is a nice route to see all this .

Kengsington at night is quite beautiful in parts. The quiet streets around Sloane Square rock too.

In Dublin... The walk from town to the Merrion Road can be pretty nice actually. Baggot Street rocks at night, a little oasis of life in the emptiness of night.

    Aye Malahide is very pretty.
I like Bray too / Greystones, it can be nice out there really really late. Or Dun Laoghaire is good too, bit dodgy in the dark on your own at times but not bad.

Living overlooking the quays in Dublin, i sometimes just stare out at traffic, wondering about where those people are coming from or going to, sometimes walking along those quays around 4am when its totally quiet is a nice experience:)

Once when i was in the countryside bout an hour from Boston at my aunts house, went outside at 5am to listen to the insects chirp about, birds moving in trees it was so cool!!:D

And now coming into the summer months, i would imagine a late night beach stroll, or even a walk along a canal with friends or an OH would be just as welcoming.

P.S. love those Futurama quotes in your sig s-p :)

There's a nice shed in the middle of a nice field near my house, whose roof one can sit on in the late hours of the night/early hours of morning, and look at moon/hares foxes etc.

It seems most people agree that walking about is a nice thing to do really late at night, when everywhere is deserted. I saw a dublin fox doing just that recently. Also reading at night is a good thing. Tea is nicer at night too.

That must be really nice! I love just sitting watching the world go by, watching people, seeing hugs/arguements/whatever. Just people watching :)

Um.. they're not Futurama quotes lol.. least not that I know of.
The top one is from Twilight, middle is from Calvin & Hobbes, and the third is a quote i found online.

    <3 people watching.

    Well I'm just people watching
    The other people watching me
    And we're all people watching
    The other people watching we
We're as lonely as we wanted to be
We're all as lonely as we wanted to be
Just as lonely as we wanted to be
I'm just you, you're just me
But it's only true if we believe
Well there really ain't no use in stopping
What nobody never told me not to do
So I'll keep people watching, watching me now
Finding my way back to you
We're as lonely as we wanted to be
We're all as lonely as we wanted to be
I'm just as lonely as I wanted to be
I'm just you, you're just me
But it's only true if we believe
I see so many feet going so many ways
People passing by, they got nothing to say
All on our own, just watching and confused
Nobody told me what to do
I can't stop breaking all the rules
    And I'm just people watching
    The other people watching me
    We're all people watching
    The other people watching we
We're as lonely as we wanted to be
We're not so lonely as we wanted to be
I'm just as lonely as I wanted to be
    Not so lonely
    Lonely, lonely, lonely

There used to be a 24 hour coffee shop in Dublin City near Grafton st. Can't remember the name of it but it was a great place to go for a quiet drink and a chat with nocturnal friends. Loved seeing that friends were online late and making spontaneous arrangements to meet up for a coffee!

Also anywhere in the country where there are no lights is a great place to be after dark - ya can see more stars than you'd ever think were in the sky!

And for a dose of the weird, you never know what kind of characters you're gonna bump into in the middle of the night at a 24 hour Tesco :D:D:D

...or me in the Clarehall Tesco... :D

Its awful though, its so big that you'd nearly get lost in it and being drunk makes it worse. :o

Someone was talking about a 24hour cafe, that would be pretty cool. Even if it was just a late one open til 2 or something. It'd be nice to go somewhere with friends late and just chill without drink for once. :)

bull island in the wee small hours. Watching the sun rise. A little touch of nature near the heart of dublin, and can be lovely and nocturnal quiet.

Im one for late night-early morning drives, myself and my sister tend to just get up and go somewhere. Particular faves are 24 hours Tescos for midget gems and cheesey puffs OR 24 hours Macdonalds with bunch of our friends.... but we go anywhere really. select our fave tunes and head off when we feel like a laugh :D
