    newcastle-150x150.jpg v arsenal-150x150.jpg

Unfortunately this clashes with the 6 Nations. Massive game for Newcaslte, almost certain to be in the bottom 3 unless they get something from it. Seems unlikely, but the Londeners never get an easy game up at St. James' Park as Man Utd and Liverpool have in recent years. Being optimistic I think we can nick another point.

Habib Beye, Kevin Nolan and Danny Guthrie are all back in contention, thank fúck.
Gunners in Toon - Premiership years:

    2007/08: Drew 1-1 Taylor
    2006/07: Drew 0-0
    2005/06: Won 1-0 Solano
    2004/05: Lost 0-1
    2003/04: Drew 0-0
    2002/03: Drew 1-1 Robert
    2001/02: Drew 1-1 Robert (FAC)
    2001/02: Lost 0-2
    2000/01: Drew 0-0
    1999/00: Won 4-2 Speed 2, Shearer, Griffin
    1998/99: Drew 1-1 Hamann
    1997/98: Lost 0-1
    1996/97: Lost 1-2 Shearer
    1995/96: Won 2-0 Ginola, Ferdinand
    1994/95: Won 1-0 Beardsley
    1993/94: Won 2-0 Cole, Beardsley

Should be a decent game, Arsenal really need to open a gap before Villa have that though game tomorrow and Newcastle need survival points
Walcott is now out for a while after he did his knee in today

    Possible arsenal team:
    Almunia
    Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy
    Nasri Denilson Song Arshavin
    RVP Bendtner

I'll be watching the rugby myself, but Arsenal are in some great form at the moment. Would expect 0-2 win for the Gunners tomorrow.

    Even without Theo :(

    Ya left out Eboue...

Arshavin is still slightly injured, so he might come on as a sub.

Ah crap, I thought this game was on Sunday for some reason. I'll be watching the rugby, seeing Ireland win the grand slam is pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity, I can watch Arsenal beat Newcastle twice a season :D - although maybe not if they get relegated this year.

Another must win game for Arsenal - they pretty much all are at the moment - and I expect us to nick it.

Can see Arsenal dropping points here. Maybe a 1-1.

3-1 to Arsenal. I'll be watching this game, fcuk the rugby, watching Bendtner miss 5 consecutive chances in a row always delivers.

Think this will be a cracker, 3-1 le Arse.
Arshavin to rule the roost :)

Could be a cagey affair. You are right OP, Arsenal don't have a great record up North. Hopefully Arshavin and Nasri to have great games and if Arsenal get an early goal it's curtains for Newcastle. They will be torn to pieces by the Gunners should they chase the game. 20 chances on goal for Bendner should he start. Let's hope at least one is converted.

    Prediction:Newcastle Utd 0 Arsenal 3

The press are really trying to make the most of of the whole Toure/Gallas situation.

Interesting to see that Sagna went to see how Toure was there and Gallas didn't.

Neither did Denilson or Nasri who were both closer.

    I seriously hate sensationalist reporting.

Arshavin is going to be soo good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,571 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

I can't see Taylor seeing the end of this game.
Twice there he tried to do Arshavin unsuccessfully when he knew Arshavin had him outclassed

How can he justify booking Gallas for that and not booking Taylor for smashing Arshavin in the face.

    Mind boggling...

I'd like to see Eduardo or Vela on for RVP or Bendtner.

Fresh legs would terrorise that Newcastle defence

For a fella who's actually a really good defender, Taylor is some tramp. If he cuts that ****e out he could be very good.
