I'm considering buying a 1983 mark 1 GTI and am wondering what insurance I can expect to pay on it.

I'm 30 and have 10 years+ NC. I'd use it as a second car in the summer and do minimal mileage.

Can anyone give an idea of what I might pay for insurance.

    Thanks !

Ring Carole Nash, First Ireland and Axa, concourse with those details and they will tell you

At a guess, i'd say €300ish, comp, limited mileage.

Some of the insurers don't do comp if the car isn't garaged. But I agree with your guess - about €200-€300 depending if it is comp or 3rd party
