    Do Queers gay people still get descriminated against socially or is that time over?

    has ireland moved on or is it still not caught up with other nations in this regard

    What other nations? LGBT people are still discriminated against virtually everywhere to different degrees.

    Alot of elderly Catholic people think its a disgrace that they are allowed in public, its just their generation though, i think the younger the generation the more acceptable the generation finds it, thats why everyone says that gay marriage will happen!we just gotta let all the old people die first:D

    I wouldn't say it's necessarily a regular occurrence, but discrimination comes in many forms (incidentally using words like queers, shirtlifters and ******s would in many people's books be considered discrimination).

    While it's probably not normal for a gay person to be spat on here, I'm pretty sure heterosexuals get spat on/beaten up/etc. due to their sexuality far less often.
