Thinking of doing a Science degree

I was thinking of doing an undergraduate degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences or in Science and choosing Eos subjects as a primary study area. Could anyone tell me what restrictions exist when choosing subjects for a Science degree?

Could anyone suggest some good links that would would give me a better understanding of what the EOS course will be like?

Also how many hours of class time could in expect doing a BA in EOS or a BA in Science (undenominated)?

    Thanks :pac:

check out the NUIG website i think it has everything you need. I did undenominated science and the hours arent particularly long but they are usually annoying in that there are huge gaps of free time in the days and labs some evenings. check it out though and im sure they wouldnt mind you emailing for further info!

I did EOS in first year. You'll be doing 4 differnt subjects in first year, EOS is just one of them. In 1st EOS you'll cover loads of differnt topics. Geology, Hydrology, Oceanography amongst other stuff but it's pretty basic in 1st year. Id say go for undanominated, pic EOS and 3 other subjects you like the sound of and see which works out best for you. You'll have alot of choice all the way up to 3rd year, something will click before have pic your degree subject in 4th year
