I figured since the bitch/moan/rant thread was pretty negative,
We could discuss the good points (if any :P) about our college.

I really like the tiles ...
    Ha!

Actually, I'm quite fond of the Mac lab.
Even if I don't know the password to get into it :(

    & the red chairs.
    Good for sitting!

I like the small class sizes.....well in my course anyway!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,488 ✭✭✭pikachucheeks

    Yeah, good point.
    My class is the same...

Helps you get to know people better!

I'm a massive fan of the class sizes and pretty much all my lecturers!!! I'm also a huge fan of the grass on sunny days like today. It was a wrench to go back to class, but somehow I managed it!!!

    LMAO

or is it that us guys are more easily impressed??:p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,488 ✭✭✭pikachucheeks

    Possibly and very probably!

Not to generalise or anything, but EVERY guy is easily amused :P

    hahah :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 906 ✭✭✭FuzzyWuzzyWazza

    I'm not gonna disagree with u there!!:D

I gotta agree with the class sizes, even tho my class was in around 50 at the start of the year, its still muc better than some other places.

I also like the fact that there is pretty much just one building.

I gotta disagree with Fuzzy on the one building thing. I always feel like the one building makes it seem like a secondary school, and if there was one place on earth I hated it was my secondary school.

I'm a little sad that I won't be around when all the proposed plans are finished.

Oh, and just to add the one thing I'm loving about the college at the moment, the library's database service. It's providing me with great articles for my essay!!!

And I think Bryn's pride is a little dented. I'm agreeing with the girls though, the college isn't the best for guys. All I seem to come across are guys that think they are god's gift, but really aren't. Then again, that could just be my course!!!

Nah, that's true, in my experience too :P

I'm sure there are some nice guys in the college ... lecturers, maybe ;)

A friend of mine put it well the other day, we were sitting in the canteen and she made the observation that the college guys are either "nerds or knackers"
    Hahaha :D

... I happen to like nerds though! :pac:

I will have you know that I am neither a nerd or a knacker thanks very much :P

Now now girls, less of the guy bashing! :p

I'm sure there is no perving at all!!!

Just thought I would add the feeling of finishing assignments to my favourite things about the college!

That was a good one, I have to admit!
    DAMN :(

I would burn you back, but you're a moderator!

...Quite a useless one at that! This thread has gone waaay off topic and you're doing nothing about it! Haha!

    :p

PS. please don't delete this thread!

    Oh,
    Something else I like about the college;

    The quiet room.

    It's quite a nice idea!

    Anyone used it yet?

    :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,285 ✭✭✭DancingDaisy

Do you mean the quiet room in the library? Can be really helpful at times. The reason I avoid the library is because there is nearly always somebody to talk to.

You make a very valid point about this thread going off topic.....but i'm allowing it cos at least it means there is some discussion in this forum now :P

Yeah where is this mysterious room?????????

And to stay on topic, if I found it, it could be something I like about ITT

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,285 ✭✭✭DancingDaisy

If it is the library one then they are the rooms upstairs and downstairs in the library, where people must be silent.

  • Registered Users Posts: 906 ✭✭✭FuzzyWuzzyWazza

it's not the ones in the Library, this is supposed to be a room where u can relax, have sofas or something.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,639 ✭✭✭LightningBolt

    What I liked about Tallaght:

    1) Good lecturers
    2) Small classes
    3) 15min drive from home

In Maynooth now doing a postgrad now. Points 2 and 3 apply still but the actual college night life is way better.

Yeah where is this mysterious room?????????

It's opposite the TV studio on the ground floor!

There's a door leading into Tim O'Connor's old office, the disability officer's office and that room :)

Haven't been in myself, but apparently, it's full of cushions :D
You're allowed go in there and just chill!
