Why don't Trinity advertise proposed research topics for maths postgrads?

    I'm in maths it may be different for other faculties.

    UCD DO advertise topics in the field I'm wondering why Trinity don't

    In my experience it is not the norm to advertise research topics. Usually you will contact someone in a field you are interested in and discuss potential topics with them. Quite often maths research topics are not as well defined as in other subjects and will change enormously anyway.
