Ps3 lan connection problem? Broadworks

    Hi all, I just got internet through a company called broadworks.
    The connection comes through the tv cable.
    There is a lan modem connected to it (no wireless)
    The internet itself is slow to laod pages (compared to eircom)

    I have tried to lan connect the ps3 with no joy so far.

    This is the result

    Connection test completed

    Obtain ip address: succeeded
    Internet connection: failed

    the rest of the stuff is blank and it shows this message

    An error has occurred during communication with the server.
    this is a DNS error.
    (80710102)

    I am not all that good with modems etc.

    There is only one lan conection in the back of the modem and the lan cable works with my laptop so its not either of them at fault.

    How do i get into motorola modem setting through my mac?(i know....i am one of them:eek: a mac user!!!)

    Please help as i am having withdrawls from lack of online play!

    any help appreciated!
