Yeah ive been listening to this podcast alright. Also Off the ball deserves a mention, they have rugby interviews every night now and also a programme on wednesdays called "wednesday night rugby" with Jerry Thornley.

Better link to the podcasts: http://newstalk.ie/newstalk/podcasts/37/six-nations-2009.xml

I couldn't open that link. Am I right to assume that even
though Hook is preicting a win, he is making excuses for
Wales? I guarantee if we win he will be saying it was because of this and that, the Welsh were terrible, we were lucky, the ref was on OUR side etc. e's a hateful anti Irish twat. He never gives Ireland due credit; he will always praise when it suits and then take a dig

Hook has reversed his usuall opinion of optomism. He is still talking as much ****e as ever.

Everyone is aware of Kidneys managerial merits but listening to Hook you would think we could field the sct Rock team and still win the match. He is too confident.

I wouldn't trust a word from Hook's mouth. How the hell can that muppet be so confident, when last week, he begrudgingly said we'd scrape past Scotland.
So, if we can only scrape past Scotland, how the helll can he be confident at Cardiff of a win. I so want a win, but I would ave to make Wales the favorites here.

Hook doesn't want a win; he wants a loss that he can slate, even at the expense of his incorrect call

When we beat Italy by 30 points he put it down to bad refereeing and "lucky" tries:rolleyes:

    Out of line?

Is this the same Hook who constantly slates
the team, complains when they win, when they lose, blames the ref if they win, etc etc. The guy is anti Irish and the facts speak for themselves.

Seriously, do you really believe he wants a win and is behind the team.

Because he sure doesn't show it and I don't expect him never to question
or criticise, but he is intent on simply being anti Irish for the sake of it.

Also, just because someone is Irish or born here doesn't mean they
are patriotic and love Ireland. It's certainly not the
    case with Hook!

In fairness, when we do win, you can usually tell Hook's secretly delighted.

While gleefully rubbing his paycheque for being a WUM - the guys paid to be a WUM, its why RTE have him. Its why people talk about him all the time. I'd do the same thing if it meant I got loadsa cash :P

I was sure we would win this weekend until I read he picked us to beat Wales. We are now seriously in trouble. Roddy Collins once went through Shelbourne's entire Champions League campaign tipping them to be beaten before every 45 minutes of football, until the last half against Deportivo, when he tipped them to do it. They lost the half 3-0 and went out. Please George, no....tip Wales!

    I'll send him an email.

Then it should be very easy for you to set out the 'facts' here then ?

    Off you go ..

    A man can dream.

Every time I see George Hook or Eamon Dunphy on tv I'm genuinely proud to be Irish. How many other countries would allow people like that on tv?

Does the Wednesday night rugby show with Thornley and Lenihan have a podcast?

I've just listened to the Newstalk 6 Nations on from this week with Hook, but tbh I prefer Thornley and Lenihan by a long shot. I can't seem to find a podcast of it online.
