I know nothing about about sheep / lambs
thinking of buying my 7 yr old nephew a lamb for his birthday and allowing him to leave it on my farm.

I am only there in the eves so would not be in a position to fed it twice a day.... Is this a non runner...

You would need to feed it at least 3 times a day after it is about 2 weeks old, more before that. Also you will need to follow instructions on milk replacer bag eg Golden Frisky, and stop immediately at about 14 weeks, again check bag or else you risk death through bloat - when lamb takes too much milk. you will also need to have it on a lamb nut when you take it off milk replacer.
