Is there any possibility that Mods/Admin could delete that entire thread? Tbh, I'm embarrassed of that thread and the posts in it. Despite the fact OP being a 'troll', what those of you who posted there did is nothing short of abuse and you would receive warnings/inractions in any other forum. Also, we were recently told to REPORT a post or poster to a mod. Taking the absolute mick out of someone for a page and a half is not, imo, in any way constructive. This forum was the subject of many complaints recently, and this sort of behaviour was the base of the complaints. So what if the OP of that thread was 'trolling', report it or lock it. Don't turn into a slagging match. I like a good laugh as much as the next person, but that stuff was ott for a forum dedicated to Emergency Services topics.

EDIT: I am in no way intending to step on toes lads, as I understand how bs subjects/stories/rumours regarding the emergency services can annoy you.:)

Point taken. Seeing we had so many problems in the past and still trying to get over them, I thought a little fun at a very obvious troll would do no harm.

Still cant see any harm in it tbh.

As you know, a little fun is no good!:pac:

I just think it doesn't look great, and it kind of encourages 'attack the poster' rather than 'report the poster'.

But he asked the mods to re open the thread and let people post about him, so its not really an attack at all

I just got my third star from this post...... i feel all warm inside :D

I forward a motion of boys will be boys in relation to the shenanigans that went on in the thread and think we should leave it at that, pointless going on to each other about it.

    +1

But it shouldn't happen again. Reporting a post is easier, and gives the Mods something to do:pac:

Consider this a warning: The next time you tell the moderators of this forum what to do, you'll receive an infraction. Back-seat modding is far worse than having a little fun with someone who intentionally signed up to troll.

If we, the mods, decide to have just an iota of fun on a forum that we put a lot of time and work into, and our actions are deemed inappropriate, it is the CMods, SMods or Admins who will tell us what to do, and not someone with 3 warnings and 1 infraction on their profile.

Do not tell us how to moderate this forum again.

    Thread closed.
