good suit/shirt tie combo

    Hey, just wondering if anyone has any advice for what colour shirt and tie could go well in combination with a 2 button dark charcoal suit with very light pinstripes, for a ball type social event. I currently wear it with a textured white shirt and a dark pink tie, but for an upcoming event i want a bit of a change. any help would bee greatly appreciated

    Hmm, there goes my default dark suit answer in your own post :rolleyes: Can never go wrong with white/pink.

    Try substitute the pink for a light blue?

    Heavier blue that I'd opt for.

    A light pink (one solid colour) shirt (got mine in Topman) with a darker pink tie can work well too.

    yeah, light blue but maybe with polka dots to break it up although having said that it depends on how dark the charcoal is. TK Maxx has good ties for fairly cheap, got D&G, Hugo Boss, Turnbull & Asser amongst others. There's always loads of Ted Baker there too but they're not for me.
