    ...who doesn't suck at bass wanna throw down a walking bass-line to a 12-bar in E? At 170 BPM? All hush hush, no questions...all I need is 12 bars and I can loop.

    Yours may be too good...I may have to TelePaulify it by running my soundcard outs through an amp in a washing machine, you know, to achieve that 'blues' sound! :)

    If you wanna, cool, I can post a sample of what I ahd in mind - I just can't get a decent bass tone...I need a D.I, or new strings, or a new bass.

    I use the Hartke bass di. Sounds great and is a really good price. Also works as a normal di box if you turn the tone shaping off.

    i just play a fenderjazz straight thru an adesigns pacifica , into cubase .
    no treatment at all - you can do what you want to it later -
    its really nice
