If they disrupt my commute, I'll create a "No change for taxis" website, starting a protest to encourage people not to tip them a cent anymore.

Jesus, nobody is going to take them seriously with a joke of a site like that...

That's any public support for them gone, just behaving now like scum. Interfering with ordinary workers getting to work is low.

    Minister Dempsey........Keep your Eyes open

    My eyes hurt :D

The website matches the average taxi car - cutting edge at it's time but long since obsolete.

I love the banner head line " Get your Feet on the street"

*Wtf? ye are sitting in your cars driving at 10kph beeping your horns!!

Taxi Drivers for Change eh? What are they gonna do, walk up and down the street muttering 'Any spare change bud?'

You have to admire their arrogance though. First they clamour for a free market, and now they're shouting for regulation. Typical Irish (and yes, I'm Irish too).

(Then again, so could a six year old kid... wait, wait. This is Motor forum. I've got it - a Passat could design a better website!)

Looks class......if this was 15 years ago!
And they've attracted a few business too, must have a class salesman to convince people to sign up

Protest at 8am, peak hour for buses. Better not start holding up buses.
And stay out the buslane seeing that are not for hire and looking for fares.

Our core Business is in Website Design & Launch

Sweet jesus, I'd hate to think how bad they would be at other tasks if website design and launch is their core competancy. The limitations of websites in the early days of the web were probably down to coding them in raw HTML using notepad or something similar. I just checked their HTML code and it seems they used MS Frontpage to generate the webpage, there is simply no excuse for it to be that bad .

Surely if there are already too many taxi's, a reduction is whats needed, not just a cap. So which of you taxi drivers are handing back you licence so that the correct number can be achieved and so they can have a decent income?

I don't think this thread is heading anywhere (and we only had a taxi bash-fest recently)
