Hi All, I am a full time student with a part time job. Over the summer I wil only get 3 days a week work from my employer, I've asked for more from my boss but she can't give them to me. I've heard that you can claim money from social welfare if youre employer cant give u full time hours as a student during summer months. Is this true? How do i claim it? Does anyone know what this scheme is called? I plan on spending all summer saving so that i can go bac to college in Sept but even if i saved every cent i earned, i still wouldn't be able to afford it. I do plan on looking for more work closer the time but amn't very hopeful. Appreciate anyones help.

www.welfare.ie or ring your local citizens advice centre, but as you're a full time student and not available for full time work i don't think you'll qualify for anything to supplement your part time work!
