hey guys, having a small problem.

just replaced my mobo with msi intel p43
im using qx6700 and 8gb ram.

overclocked my cpu to 3.0ghz and when i look at cpuid or coretemp, the details are changing and its strange.

the freuqency keeps changing from x8.0 to x10.0 and back again. the core clock changes respectavly aswel.

    any idea's why its happening?
the oc seems to be fine, and performance doesnt change during anything i do on the pc, well, i havnt run anything intensive yet.
    win vista 32bit aswel.

Yes, EIST, Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpeedStep

Your cpu will downclock itself when not under pressure to save power, disabling EIST in the bios will solve this

Given the price of lecky is through the roof, you might want to consider leaving it on, doesn't do much harm.
