    Hi,

I'm in the early stages of considering a move to New York in search of work and some new experiences. Please can you advise me on the following:

    1. Is the J visa (1 year working visa) to the US still available?

    2. What critieria is required in order to avail of this visa?

Any other advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

the J visa is for exhange students and the like; professors and students and those looking to do internships and from what I understand has a lengthy interview process involved. You'll need to figure out which visa you actually need: go here.
